Poem: My view

Everyone fears what they cannot control
or the unknown that shakes their soul.
Yet throughout the human personality
comes the grand possibility
that the fear in which they feel
can become an emotion all too real.

In order to hide away
the fear that has come to play
we find the cause
to our momentary pause
in reality and time
that has become our everlasting crime.
And soon, we come to figure out
that every happy moment without a doubt
is followed by a cliff of despair
in which no one is spared.

It's like a woman that just found out
that she is about
to become a mother to a child
and she can't help but hope that they aren't too wild.
Then she feels a great pain
and the doctor tells her that the chain
between her and her baby is gone
and her child has moved on.

So she shuts herself away,
won't let those emotions she felt so much come back to play
and hurt once again as she remembers
the memories in world where she is the only member.

That is the fear
of happiness and cheer.
Happiness is never the cause
but the seemingly impossible law
that says after happiness can only be sorrow
and no one wants to wake up and see tomorrow.
